Flying to the snow: transfer services from the airports to Val di Fassa

During the winter tourist season, from December to April, special "snow buses" depart from the major airports in the north of Italy for the main ski resorts of the Trentino’s Dolomites. The nearest airports to Val di Fassa are: the San Giacomo in Bolzano (40 km), the Valerio Catullo in Verona (180 km), the Marco Polo in Venice (175 km), the Antonio Canova in Treviso (160 km), the Orio al Serio in Bergamo (280 km), the Linate and the Malpensa in Milan (about 350 km), the Innsbruck-Kranebitten (Austria, 190 km) and Monaco di Baviera (Germany, 320 km) airports.

From December 9th 2017 to April 2nd 2018 the different resorts of Val di Fassa will be linked directly to Verona, Bergamo, Milan Linate, Venice, Treviso and (NEW! WINTER 2017/2018) Milan Malpensa airports. The aim of the transfer service Fly Ski Shuttle, with the return trips on Saturdays and Sundays (special trips on December 26th, January 2nd and April 2nd), is to help tourists who need to travel by plane to plan their mountain holidays in the most comfortable way possible. This makes it easier for guests to reach Val di Fassa and avoids the inconvenience of using public transport, that may not coincide with connections and timetables. The transfer service Fly Ski Shuttle is born from the cooperation among ASAT (Associazione Albergatori ed Imprese Turistiche della Provincia di Trento), UNAT (Unione Albergatori del Trentino), Trentino Marketing (Società di Marketing Territoriale del Trentino), Marco Polo airport in Venice, Antonio Canova airport in Treviso, Valerio Catullo airport in Verona, Linate airport in Milan, Orio al Serio airport in Bergamo, the Tourist Boards of the Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme, Val di Sole, San Martino di Castrozza-Rolle-Primiero, Monte Bondone, Dolomiti di Brenta-Paganella, Folgaria-Lavarone-Luserna, Madonna di Campiglio. Weekly links from the airports to the villages of Val di Fassa with bus (56, 26 or 16 seats), 8-passenger minivan and private car. Once you arrive in Val di Fassa, an efficient, extended ski bus service is available to take you to the ski lifts.

During the winter tourist season, from December to Easter, the transfer service Fly Ski Shuttle connects the Verona (Valerio Catullo), Bergamo (Orio al Serio), Milan LinateTreviso (Antonio Canova), Venezia (Marco Polo) and (NEW! WINTER 2017/2018) Milan Malpensa airports to the Val di Fassa resorts (main stops: Moena - Hotel Trentino; Soraga - Hotel Avisio; Vigo di Fassa - Hotel Carpe Diem; Vigo San Giovanni - Hotel Dolomiti; Pozza - Hotel Trento; Pozza/Pera - Bus stop "Loc. Vac"; Mazzin - Tourist Office; Campitello di Fassa - Piaz de Ciampedel; Canazei - Piaz G. Marconi; Alba di Canazei - Hotel Alba; Penia di Canazei - Hotel Sonia).

Ticket fares winter 2017/2018:

Adult one way ticket 35,00 EUR (50,00 EUR from/to Malpensa)
Adult return ticket 60,00 EUR (85,00 EUR from Malpensa)
Children (under 8 years) FREE OF CHARGE
Children (between 8 and 12 years - not yet turned) 50% discount

Each paying passenger is entitled to transport one hand luggage and one checked luggage. Any extra luggage has to be booked with an extra charge of 10,00 EUR each way. The same rule is valid also for skies and ski-bags, which will be accepted only if previously booked at the cost of 5,00 EUR each way. Pets allowed, on request, at the cost of 10,00 EUR each way.

Transfer service from airports and train stations to Val di Fassa

The service is provided by the company Desilvestro Taxi e Viaggi of Moena. Direct connections from airports and train stations to Val di Fassa by private transfer (car, van, coach from 1 to 50 seats with driver; door to door service) or by shared-ride bus.
