From the 29th of June to the 1st of July, Campitello hosts the best European climbers with events and entertainment
The ADEL climbing hall of Campitello, surrounded by the astonishing Dolomites, is going to be the place-to-be for the best European climbers. The location, the new climbing hall and plenty of champions, among which Adam Ondra (already winner of the Championship), are the perfect ingredients of the most challenging competition of Europe: the European Climbing Championship that will take place in Campitello from the 29th of June to the 1st of July.
The disciplines in which the climbers will challenge themselves are lead and speed, while addicted and tourists can admire the performances of the participants and support them from the parterre. Lots of climbing-addicted and tourists will be following the three-days events organized by Val di Fassa Cilmbing, headed by Lorenza Dellantonio: « We are proud to host such an important event. We accepted the challenge and now we are pleased to collect the results of years of commitment in spreading the passion for our sport among youths. We dedicate the commitment to the competition to our friends that unfortunately disappeared on the 26th of December 2009 in Val Lasties during an avalanche rescue aid action».
The competition, supported by FASI, is the main event of the week end, alongside other minor events focused on sports and entertainment. In these days, Campitello will also be the location of: DolomitiSummerFestival, a three-days event about sports such as climbing, mountain biking, and slackline; on the 1st of July there will be the Dolomia, the 11th meeting of the Gruppi Alpinistici Storici delle Dolomiti (the historical alpinistic groups of the Dolomites) with the local group “Ciamorces de Fasha”; on the 2nd of July the week end will come to the end with the DolomitiWalkingFestival, the most important Nordic walking event in the Dolomites.
