Pordoi Pass (2.239 m) is between Sass Pordoi and Sass Becè; it marks the boundary between the province of Trento and that of Belluno. It is 12 km and 28 bends from Canazei. The historical Hotel Pordoi is located a few hundred metres from the pass - the first hotel to be built on this part of the "Grande Strada delle Dolomiti" - its original Art Nouveau frescoes have been preserved intact. The Gruppo del Boè is quickly reached from the pass by the modern cableway. It takes only a few minutes to reach the 2.950 m of Sass Pordoi, an incredible natural terrace from which one take in the 360° view of the entire alpine arc. From here one can tackle the demanding descent of the fork goes by the same name, or descend along the impervious Val Lasties (given the particularity of these runs, they are undertaken only in the right weather and snow conditions and accompanied by alpine guides). One can also get to the Belvedere ski area, move on towards Arabba and get into the Sellaronda ski tour. It should not, however, be forgotten that Pordoi Pass is above all renowned for its great cycling, that is, the most famous of the Dolomite stages of the Giro d’Italia.
