The ski area is reached from Canazei; follow the signs for Passo Fedaia (about 13 km), driving through Alba and Penia, until you reach the departure of the basket cableway that goes up to Pian dei Fiacconi (2.625 m) from Lago di Fedaia (Fedaia Lake). The Marmolada (proclaimed Heritage by Unesco in 2009) with its 3.343 metres is the highest mountain in the Dolomites. Isolated, but at the same time surrounded by a court of other magnificent peaks, the Regina delle Dolomiti (Queen of the Dolomites) can be admired from all panorama points in Val di Fassa. Skiing on the most extensive glacier in the Dolomite area (from February to May) is always an unforgettable experience and a fascinating occasion.
