Description: from Pozza di Fassa take the cabin lift to Buffaure. From this south facing slope above the Val San Nicolò it is possible to admire nearly all the Dolomites of the Val di Fassa. To the west is the Latemar and the Catinaccio, to the east is the valley of Monzoni, with its dark peaks (volcanic rocks), which join the Vallacia group to the crests of Costabella.

The botanical path of Buffaure

In the summer you can experience the "Giardino Alpino del Buffaure - High Altitude Garden of Buffaure", a nature trail which allows you to observe the rich flora, and discover the landscape and goelogical curiosities of the area. A chairlift will take you further up the mountain to Col de Valvacin (2,354m), poised between the Val San Nicolò and the wild Val Giumela. From here the panorama opens up to include the Colac, the Marmolada, Sass Pordoi, the Sella group, and the Sassolungo.
