On Shrove Tuesday at 2.30 p.m. don’t miss carnival floats. There will also be a party with music, sweet food and drink and a prize-giving to the winners of the best costume competition. The inhabitants of the Turchia district have the curious habit of dressing up as sultans and odalisques, so honouring the legends about the origin of this part of the village, while Arlechign and Lonc, traditional local characters, stand out in the crowd of other carnival characters. The event will close with the burning of a puppet witch called "strìa". This bonfire was anciently believed to exorcise evil entities and chase winter away while welcoming the arrival of spring at the same time.
