Val di Fassa, legendary trekking
The "Trek of the Legends" is an extraordinary walking experience that make you discover the places in the Dolomites where the Ladin myths were born. It is a circular trekking route of 200 km (about 60 hrs walking), divided into 20 stages, that links the Val di Fassa with the Val di Fiemme and Primiero. 6 of the stages of this fascinating itinerary are in the Val di Fassa. A wide range of mountain walks of all standards that lead to King Laurin’s rose garden in the Catinaccio, wind amidst the rocks of the Marmolada glacier where one might hear Conturina sing, or take to the foot of the Sassolungo to listen to the twitter of a nightingale belonging to a legendary princess. A fairy tale experience that completes and enriches your holiday.
A unique occasion to enjoy the so-called "Enrosadira" phenomenon, when, at sunset, the mountain rocks assume a peculiar red colour.
