Surf the wave of freestyle and give voice to your creativity on the snow! Val di Fassa is the most versatile ski resort of all Trentino, where ’softer’ activities such as snowshoe excursions and cross-country skiing can be practised together with more adrenaline boosting sports. Val di Fassa is a popular winter destination among snowboarders and freestylers for five reasons: 1. it belongs to the Dolomiti Super Freestyle, the largest snowpark circuit in the Alps accessible with a single ski pass, the Dolomiti Superski; 2. it is a dynamic valley, one can surf the fresh snow, trace one’s "line" or grab in the freestyle playgrounds in Canazei, Campitello, Pozza, Carezza and Moena; 3. fun is not only on the slopes but also in the après skis, where music and parties go on till late at night; 4. the landscape is unique, the Dolomites get more and more majestic at every trick; 5. the weather conditions, because the sun always shines in Val di Fassa (with an average of 8 sunny days out of 10).

Val di Fassa: destination freeskiing

Often mistaken with snowboarding, freestyle is a discipline similar to skiing which has recently come back into fashion especially among young people. The twin-tips, special double tipped skis, are the true protagonists of this discipline and allow slope styled acrobatics on the snow. The freestyle tribe can find fun and training areas of all levels of difficulty in Val di Fassa. In the ski areas of Canazei-Belvedere, Campitello-Col Rodella, Pozza-Buffaure, Moena-Lusia-Passo San Pellegrino, Carezza-Costalunga Pass, which are quite close one to another, there are snowparks with half-pipes, jumps, boxes, kickers, walls and rails. To access the parks you must wear a helmet and protections.

Go to the section dedicated to the snowparks of Val di Fassa, you’ll find detailed reports and useful info about the different grounds.
