Description

Dates: from Friday, 11th March to Sunday, 13th March 2022. Focus: telemark and freeride skiing. Base camp: Moena, San Pellegrino (and more). These are the essential information - but there is much more to say about it - on the "Scufoneda", the festival dedicated to "free heel" skiing, at its 25th edition. The event is organised by the lively association "Scufons del Cogo" from Moena, guided by Felice Canclini, and in the years it has become richer and richer with contents and news. This liveliness has contributed to the spread of its fame, even abroad, appreciated by telemark passionate skiers, by the addicted freeriders and by all those who see the mountains as the ideal place to stay in contact with the nature and regain a deep sense of freedom. The programm alternates "ski experiences" (for pro skiers - beyond the borders of the valley, through Sella, Pordoi and the Marmolada) to guided freeride excursions, vintage skiing (the "Scufons" are known for their Ladin clothing which dates back to the beginning of the XX Century with wooden skis and poles), workshops on the safety in the mountains, snowshoe excursions and snow-yoga, massages and techniques of relaxation and energetical balance. As usual, the event's basecamp is at Passo San Pellegrino, by the colourful "Scufons village", where the best telemark and freeride skiing equipment companies present the latest trends and the new proposals with even the possibility to test the items. "Telekids", instead, is an initiative dedicated to the youngsters between 10 and 17 years, with free basic lessons offered by the ski school Dolomiti from Moena. All seasoned with convivial moments by mountain chalets après ski bars and dinners in the name of cheerfulness.
