From 10th to 15th September you will see local and other important Italian artists in Pozza di Fassa working on their masterpieces thanks to this great event organized by "Union dei Ladins", the "Ladin school" - "Art and design school", the Ladin Cultural Institute and the the Town Hall of Sèn Jan di Fassa.
The artists - divided in two categories (guests and former students of the local Art School) - should create a wooden sculpture within 5 days, out of a 180 cm pine trunk, focusing on the Junior Alpine Ski World Championship and the mountains, in memory of the passed away sculptor, who was also teacher and mountain guide. The town centre of Pozza becomes an open-air atelier: an easy walk trough the centre will lead inhabitants and tourists towards the Ski Stadium Aloch, crossing Piaza de Comun, Piaza del Malghèr and Strada de Meida.
The sculptors work at their creations from morning till late afternoon, from Monday to Saturday at 12.00 p.m. On September 15, at 6.00 p.m. by the Town Hall of the village, the winners of the two sections will be awarded.
