Autumn in Val di Fassa opens with the "Top Wine Symposium 2950", the most exclusive event dedicated to the wine growers of Trentino, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th, from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the Refuge Maria at Sass Pordoi. Top Wine, Italy’s highest tasting appointment, is a unique chance to discover and appreciate the regional wines in the presence of the Dolomites. Together with sparkling, white and red wines, a tasting of some products from another Italian region, will be available and many typical products of Val di Fassa will be presented. Moreover, a special "Top Wine" dish by a renowned chef from the valley. It is a fascinating celebration of smells, tastes and sensations, all exalted by the breath-taking view of "Sass Pordoi", the Terrace of the Dolomites.
This is the 22nd edition of the event, born from the cooperation between SITC (Society for the Increase of Tourism in Canazei) and the Sommeliers of Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme, which aims at valorising and spreading the high quality of Trentino’s wines.
How to get: Maria Refuge is reachable in four minutes by cable car from Pordoi Pass (Canazei); from the cableway’s arrival there is a direct access to the refuge’s terrace. Reservation is necessary.
The ticket includes the cable car return ticket, the tasting, a screen-printed glass, a little gift and a discount voucher for the "Top Wine" dish. Euro 60,00.
White, red rosé and sparkling wines. On October 17th the best wineries of Trentino will meet at the Rifugio Maria at Sass Pordoi for the symposium "Top Wine 2950". Local and Italian specialties will accompain the wine tasting on the top of the Dolomites. Moreover, a special "Top Wine" dish by a renowned chef from the valley will be presented.
