Openining times: all year round
Description: the important exhibition, promoted by the Municipality of Moena, the Ladin Cultural Institute and the cultural-historic association "Sul fronte dei ricordi", and superintended by Michele Simonetti Federspiel and Mauro Caimi, (honorary keepers of the Ladin Museum), is a fortune of documents, pictures, films, recordings, findings, military uniforms and relics made of almost one thousand pieces in total, original from private collections and from the "Museo Ladin de Fascia" itself.
The exhibition is organised into four permanent sections ("Galitia 1914", "The trench", "Dolomites 1915" and "War to the War!"), located on three floor of the Navalge Theatre in Moena, where you will find truly spectacular dioramas, themed showcases, educational panels, period photos and blow-ups, in an exhibition space of approx. 500 m2. Furthermore, every year, the exhibition hosts a temporary section dedicated to gaining a deeper knowledge of a specific subject.
Notes: the area is accessible to disabled people.

Follow-up. "Strada Riccardo Löwy" is one of the main streets of Moena. But why does it bear this name? Löwy (1886-1944) was an Austrian officer of Jewish origins who had directed the fortification works in Moena and on San Pellegrino Pass, recruiting several native young men who were spared the transfer to the fronts in Galitia and in the Carpatians. Löwy went back to Moena with his wife after that Austria had been annexed to Germany, but he was deported to Auschwitz in 1944, and there he died, unfortunately.
