It describes 14 itineraries (8 classic trails + 6 challenging climbs) designed for road cycling in Val di Fassa. The details for each route are:

  • departure/arrival point, with altitude profile graph;
  • distance, altitude gap and length of ascents;

The brochure contains the list of the Val di Fassa Bike Friendly Resorts (hotels/B&B/camping sites/apartments), accommodation facilities specialized in services for bikers and riders.

The road cycling map is available at every Tourist Offices of Val di Fassa, without any payment being required.

The guide Shop & Eat is dedicated to the commercial concerns, partners of the Val di Fassa Tourist Board, grouped by category and resort. It is divided in three different sections: gastronomy, shopping and services. The guide includes:

Via Alpina

Five are the main international paths that cross the eight countries of the Alpine Europe, from Trieste to the Principality of Monaco. One of these paths (the yellow route) also passes through the Val di Fassa territory, exploiting already existing paths which do not present any particular difficulty. Val di Fassa includes four stages which cross areas of outstanding natural beauty overlooked by the imposing and majestic Sella, Marmolada and Catinaccio Dolomite massifs. Numerous are the mountain refuges that ensure adeguate assistance along the stages.

Walks in Val di Fassa

This booklet outlines some walks around Val di Fassa, and so it is dedicated in particular to families. Some of the walks are short and easy, others are slightly longer and more difficult. We have tried to describe the landmarks in order to make the guide easier to follow. We also give an idea of the difficulty of the walk.
Most of the walks can also be done starting from any point along the route, or in the opposite direction.
The times given are generous and have been calculated with plenty of stops to admire the views, to take photographs, to admire the flora or to observe the geology of the territory. The times include the return. We hope that this guide will help you to get to know the Val di Fassa, and that you will discover places and panoramas always new. Any suggestions that you would give us will be welcome.

  • the description of the walks starting from the villages of the Val di Fassa including maps and information on distance to walk and duration of the path;
  • the awareness and respect of the environment.

Winter walks

Detailed description of 32 winter walks in Val di Fassa, divided per village and including:

  • map of the itinerary with height indications (m asl), starting point and arrival;
  • level of difficulty;
  • time;
  • length and highest point (m asl);
  • altitude difference;
  • type of equipment needed (snowshoes, walking poles, boots with crampons, suitable for pushchairs).


Most of the trails area beaten by walkers. No mechanical beating, daily or periodical, is forseen and no specific signs have been placed on the itineraries to show the way.
