Description Tour 903: this track is almost entirely on forest roads running through the woods, crossing the border between the provinces of Trento and Bolzano (through Carezza Pass) and returning through the picturesque hamlet of "Tamion" in the town of Vigo di Fassa. From the centre of Moena you go up Strada Salejada and turn right at the fork at "Dante’s" fountain, to Strada de Moene and then left up the steep Strada de Rancolin. Continue along Strada de Roncac, alternating steep but short climbs, at times it is flatter. You leave the paved road and then continue on the dirt road (trail sign no. 519) that leads to Carezza Pass (Karerpass). Once at the pass, you descend to the right along the main road in the direction of Vigo, until you reach a large open space on the right ("Costa Bergousa"), where you take the forest road (trail sign no. 520) that, without any particular difficulty leads to "Tamion", where you can enjoy a spectacular view over the Val di Fassa and the surrounding mountains. You leave the village and continue to descend along the steep and difficult path until you reach the neighbourhood of "Barbida", Soraga. Turn right, follow the Strada dal Sèster, turn left and you will reach the Strada Dolomites in the town center. Cross the main road and then take the bike path that connects Soraga to Moena.
Single Trail Scale STS: S1. On a trail marked S1 you will already have to deal with smaller obstacles such as flat roots and small stones. Very often you'll find that the odd gulley or erosion damage is the reason for the raised difficulty rating. The surface may not always be firm. The gradient would have a maximum of 40%. Hairpin turns are not to be expected. On an S1 trail basic MTB technique and constant attention will be required. The trickier passages call for dosed breaking and body displacement. They should generally be ridden in a standing position. Obstacles can be rolled over.
