Description: the theme-based itinerary winds in the natural amphitheater of "Ciampac" (cabin lift station), within a suggestive glacial hollow of significant natural value. The path is punctuated by 30 observation points, located all along the way. The attention of visitors will be captured by the breathtaking summits of Dolomites, by the variety of flowers and plants, as well as by those important physical, chemical and geological phenomena, which have shaped the landscape over thousands of years. The different geological origin of the mountains crowning "Ciampac" is definitely eye-catching: on one side the lighter ones, characterized by vertical walls and pinnacles (such as the "Colac", together with "Vernel" and "Marmolada" extending in the background toward east), on the other side the darker ones, of volcanic origin, having more gentle slopes ("Crepa Neigra"). If you are lucky enough, but, above all, if you are patient and quiet, you will observe even marmots, chamois, roe deer, squirrels and many species of birds.
The theme-based path can be self-visited with the help of an illustrated guide. You can also be accompanied by a local nature expert. It is not accessible to strollers.
