Autumn is one of the most fascinating times of the year to explore Val di Fassa at high altitude and on the valley floor, among foliage’s shades
To discover the soul of the Pale Mountains, you need to listen and, most of all, walk. Step by step, you’ll reach places where myths take shape. Val di Fassa, cradle of the most renowned Ladin legends and abode of the legendary King Laurin, is not land of “common hikes”, but rather of the “Trek King”, with over 2000 kilometres of trails. Autumn time is really special to those who love itineraries on the ridges, but also at half altitude, to enjoy breath-taking views: foliage’s shades and the scents of nature, which changes following the course of the season, invite you to stay outdoors, tasting the crisp morning-and-evening air. Hikes in the side valleys, from Val Duron to Val San Nicolò, to Val Contrin, gift you with priceless moments, and so does the Rosengarten area, showing their quieter and more charming side, compared to summer’s prime. Emotions are also unleashed during the sessions of “Forest - bathing” (a bathe in the nature among woods and fields, with a therapeutic power) and on barefoot trails: stones, rock, bark, carpets made of soft musk, and freezing water give you an energy boost, so effective that your feet will not want to get back into your trekking boots.
