On December 2 the scariest parade of the year will take place in Pozza. It’s going to be the biggest edition ever, with the participation of groups from Trentino, Alto Adige and Austria.

If you are a brave and you are not scared even by the devil, you cannot miss the Krampus Parade on December 2. From 6.00 pm more than 1000 krampus (traditional devils’ masks) will animate Pozza. For the fifth edition of the “Krampus parade of Pozza” numerous groups from Trentino, Alto Adige and Austria will come to Val di Fassa and celebrate the patron of the village, Saint Nicholas – whose official day is December 6 – wearing buck leather and shocking masks, using chains and bells to scary adults and kids. An event that grows each year with more and more participants; for this reason, the organization committee decided that this year the parade will start at 6.00 pm, instead of at 8.00 pm as it used to. For such an event, a consistent organization is needed: the municipality of Pozza and more than 20 volunteers (grouped in the “Krampus da Poza”) headed by Gianluca Bernard are behind the scenes of the initiative. “It’s a taxing event – states Bernard – but the high participation of groups from Italy and Austria are worth the stress”. Moreover, in order to make this year’s edition even more memorable, we are thinking about some surprises”. Although the time of the parade has been changed, the location and the route of the event stay the same: from Saint Nicholas church along Strada de Meida, that will be appositely lighted up with fire torches and surveilled by the firemen and the local police. Once in Piaza de Comun, where the exhibitions of the groups will be presented, krampus and people can have fun at the events pavilion, open from 5.00 pm for the happy hour and where from 8.00 pm the “krampusparty” will entertain people until night with live music.

Moreover, on December 5 and 6, Saint Nicholas and the krampus will be visiting the local kids at their homes. They can be seen along the roads of the villages and among the houses of Pozza, Moena, Campitello, Canazei and Penia di Canazei: here on December 5 in the evening, another party with krampus and people will take place.
