The news of the winter season, the trends, the characters and the stories of the valley narrated in the magazine of the Tourist Board that is available by the tourist offices and broachable online

The snow of the first days of November has been a shot of grid for the realization of "Fassa News". The winter 2019-2020 issue (47) of the magazine of Val di Fassa Tourist Board is a heap of news and, above all, stories of skiing and snow that heightens the desire to do some slalom from the beginning to the end of the season. Broaching the pages of the magazine, directed by the journalist Elisa Salvi, you will meet the joy of music that spells out the whole winter as well as the enthusiasm for the opening of the new refuge "In Alto", at the 2514 metres of Col Margherita. Space is also given to stories that come from the past, such as Jutta Giebelhausen’s story, who has written to the ski school of Canazei, 64 years after her holiday, to pay her debt, and the story of Alberto Vendruscolo, the entrepreneur who has "invented" the skiing in Passo San Pellegrino. But, in the Ladin valley, there are also some contemporary lady pioneers, such as the two operators of the Buffaure lift company who, in an environment that is mainly preserve of men, are tracking a new way that other women can follow. Likewise, the rescuer who operate on the slopes of the Belvedere – Col Rodella ski area and operate with professionality and kindness in case of an accident. There are even the young skiers from Fassa who bring the colours of the Ladin valley through the ski tracks around the world and the children of the "Scolina" (kindergarten) of Moena who have given the most beautiful tree of their yard (that had become too tall and dangerous) to Firenze to make a wonderful Christmas Tree and have entrusted it to Bruno the lumberjack for the journey. In this magazine, whose article are translated (in a shorter version) in English, there’s much more to discover. How? Just go to the tourist offices where it is available since December 17th or you can leaf through "Fassa News" online, on our website. Enjoy the read!
