From March 30th to May 1st the gondola on the Fedaia pass is back to full duty and the ski bus service "express" willl allow to easily reach the pass at the foot of the Queen from Canazei

Are you one of those who would never hang up the skis? One of those who love waking up at early morning, even at late spring, to leave your ski prints on a just beaten slope? One of those who love having fun on the snow until May? So you’re the right dudes for the Marmolada: like a real Queen, with her outstretched mantle on her side in Trentino, the highest peak in the Dolomites - with its 3343 metres - is the place where you can go on with the slalom even when the other ski resorts close down. You can have fun from March 30th to May 1st, on a slope of about 2,5 kilometres, reachable from the Fedaia Pass through a "romantic" gondola that offers a panoramic and fascinating trip. With the mountain lift you reach Pian dei Fiacconi at 2626 metres, where there is also the namesake refuge that welcomes the guests with a delightful break and gives even the possibility to sleep (30 beds in dormitory). The mountain refuge also marks the beginning of the descent along a wide slope leads to the pass and to the lake Fedaia at 2056 metres.
Marmolada is also one of the most appreciated destinations for expert ski mountaineers and free riders who find much satisfaction along its snowed walls. Of course, this mountain and its off-piste tracks must be faced safely, that’s why it’s better to be accompanied by an alpine guide from Val di Fassa who can answer to any question and give tips. And both those who ski on slope and those who do it out of its borders, can comfortably reach Fedaia on the "Marmolada Express". The dedicated ski bus service, conceived for the Queen of The Dolomites, comes back after the success of last year (when it was re-established after some winter seasons): every day there’s 8 runs available to go up, every hour from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., departing from Canazei in the main square Piaz Marconi, stopping by the lifts Belvedere, in the square in Alba, by the Ciampac-Doleda, in Penia (Panarel), at the crossroads with the road to Fedaia (Villetta Maria) and, finally, on the pass by the Bar Diga, where the valley station of the cable car is located. Same stops for the way back Fedaia-Canazei, with runs from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., to let you ski until mid-afternoon and come back to the valley without any rush.
