With the increase of the exhibitors and the new "Hike & Fly" circuit, a big crowd of hang-gliding and para-gliding enthusiasts is awaited at the 2019 edition, from September 27th to 29th in Campitello
The exhibitors increase till 22 (more than ever) in almost 30 stands, and even the interest of the hang-gliding and para-gliding enthusiasts grows. So the 2019 edition of "Fassa Sky Expo", taking place from September 27th to 29th in Campitello, is announced to be a record-breaking one. The possibility of taking off from spectacular locations such as Col Rodella and Belvedere, to float in the air thanks to the updrafts that develop through the massive walls of Sella, Sassolungo and Marmolada between the end of summer and the autumn, as well as the chance to test new materials are the winning formula of "Fassa Sky Expo". «Not all the events dedicated to hang-gliding and para-gliding – explains Stefano Tononi from the "Icarus Flying Team", one of the coordinators of the event – give the possibility to enthusiasts and expert pilots to try the latest news on sale, such as the wings for paragliders and hang-gliders, the harness, the navigation tools. This is for sure one of the reasons of the success of the event that, in just three days, gathers about one thousand people. Val di Fassa is a renowned destination among the enthusiasts who come to "Fassa Sky Expo" from different parts of Italy, as well as from Germany, Austria, France and other European countries and punctuate the sky over Campitello, Canazei and more with their coloured wings.
Not to miss is also the "Hike & Fly", the Saturday morning sport appointment that matches the hiking and the flying experience. "A new itinerary – Tononi explains – leads the participants with a guide to "Col Bel" in Val de Grepa, a fascinating but unknown location, from where they take off to complete the circular itinerary landing between Campitello and Fontanazzo».
Not only sport, this week-end also offers entertainment and food. On September 27th September the stands open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and there will also be the possibility to have lunch at Ischia. Saturday 28th is entirely dedicated to the "Flying pioneers": talented paragliders and hang-gliders from all over the country will benefit of an area of the fair dedicated to meetings and information exchanges that go on even from 7 p.m. to midnight when even the kitchens will be open to enjoy some typical food. On Sunday, September 29th the exhibition area is open from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. with the kitchen open from 12 p.m.
