On December 17th and 18th two European Cup races take place on the track in Pozza
The Ski Stadium Aloch will be more than ready for the European Cup, as it is going to host 2 men slalom races of the Continental circuit. In addition to the night race of Friday, December 18th (scheduled long ago) the slope in Pozza, where the snowing process is almost completed insomuch that the opening is scheduled on December 10th, presents another slalom on December 17th to replace the race cancelled at Obereggen.
An intense work has been done at the Ski Stadium Aloch, both by the lift company Funivie Buffaure Spa and by the slope director Sergio Liberatore who, with the whole staff, have worked hard to set the track, which is meant to host world-class competitions as well as training sessions (which in this period will take place with strict attention to the anti-Covid rules) The Aloch, in fact, is part of the local project "Piste Azzurre" and it is reserved to the training sessions of the Alpine skiing national team, of the single athletes and of the World Cup groups. During this winter that is difficult also for the professional teams, the Ski Stadium Aloch seems to represent an anchor and also gives an encouraging signal to the mountain lift system that is facing its most delicate moment.
While in Pozza will therefore take place two men slalom races, the two women European Cup downhill races scheduled on December 17th and 18th on the slope "La Volata" in the ski area San Pellegrino have been cancelled instead, and may be rescheduled in 2021.
