From September 18th to October 3rd, the festival that involves about 10 mountain huts around Val di Fassa, offers rich and fine menus and snacks, for delicious autumn hikes at altitude
Lunches, dinners and now even afternoon snacks. At any time, the huts taking part in "I Rifugi del Gusto" in Val di Fassa, from September 18th to October 3rd, will delight you with yummy dishes. The festival rewards with the local flavours the wise guests that choose autumn - the best time of the year - for their hikes at altitude along the routes of Val di Fassa and involves 10 mountain huts that give their best to conquere them, with even some news as compared to the past. By the huts Marmolada "E. Castiglioni", Sasso Piatto, Salei, Roda di Vael, Stella Alpina Spitz Piaz, Fronza alle Coronelle, Ciampedie, Baita Cuz, Vallaccia and Fuciade, during fifteen days, the protagonist is the cheese made by the dairy Caseificio Sociale Val di Fassa and the menus include either a first course and a dessert or a main course and a dessert. All combined with a craft beer to choose between the new-born "Rampeèr" from Campitello and other mountain craft breweries, or a glass of wine from Trentino. Moreover, the mountain huts, in-between the initiative, also propose a selected afternoon snack, with a dessert and a bio herbal tea or syroup from the Ecogreen Fiores agricultural farm. On October 3rd, then, by Rifugio Salei it will be possibile to attend the presentation of the products of the Caseificio Sociale Val di Fassa cheese factory.
Last but not least, there's the initiative “Scopri, gusta, partecipa!” ("Discover, taste, share): hike towards two different "I Rifugi del Gusto" huts at least, taste two menus by two different refuges and post the pictures of the dishes on your social media account by using the hashtag #rifugidelgustovaldifassa #valdifassa, or send them to the e-mail address email@example.com. By doing this, you'll get a branded Val di Fassa mug and a tea box from Ecogreen Fiores, to pick up by the tourist offices in Moena, Pozza and Canazei.
The initiative "I Rifugi del Gusto" has been taking place during several year at the beginnin of autumn, thanks to the numerous mountain lifts, about ten this year, in activity during the whole period.
