Two Women World Cup Super-Gs and one Downhill: from February 26th to 28th, three competitions will be held in the Ladin valley

Good things come in threes. In 2021 Val di Fassa fills up on Women Ski World Cup competitions: from February 26th to 28th, two Super-Gs and a Downhill will take place on the slope "La Volata" in the ski area San Pellegrino. After the cancellation of the two competitions scheduled in Yanqing (China), and therefore entrusted to Val di Fassa on December 8th, the official communication of the rescheduling of St. Moritz super-G (cancelled on December 6th) in Trentino has been given in these hours.
This is an extraordinary World Cup debut for the Ladin valley, with even 3 speed events, which recognizes the value of the Italian work in organizing competitions in the international main circuit and, in particular, the job done by Val di Fassa, which has been hosting European Cup races for years, both on "La Volata" and at the Ski Stadium Aloch in Pozza, and which was also theatre of the World Junior Alpine Skiing Championships in February 2019.
Just after the end of the World Championships in Cortina, so, Val di Fassa will be in the spotlight, with the training taking place on Wednesday, February 24th and on Thursday, February 25th, and going on with the first Super-G on Friday 26th (at 11.45 a.m.), the Downhill on Saturday, 27th and, finally, the second Super-G on Sunday, February 28th.
The third race has been accepted with great satisfaction by the local organizing committee, which is headed by Andrea Weiss, head manager of the Tourist Board Val di Fassa, who is flanked by the vice-president Davide Moser (representative of the Municipality of Moena) and by the other members Leonardo Bernard (Ski Team Fassa representative), Tiziano Mellarini (representative of the Fisi), Renzo Minella (Ski Area San Pellegrino representative), and even by the event manager Cristoforo Debertol (Tourist Board Val di Fassa).
