On the 25th and 26th of June, the event that summons the best riders in the world comes back, in one of the resorts most beloved by bike and Mtb enthusiasts

The bike season in Val di Fassa is in full bustle, thanks to the wave of enthusiasm induced by the Dolomites’ stage of Giro d’Italia, on 28th May, by Marcialonga Cycling, on 29th May, and by the Sellaronda Bike Day of the 11th June (back again on 17th September), which has summoned on Dolomites’ – closed to vehicle traffic – Sella, Pordoi, Gardena and Campolongo passes almost 25 thousand cyclists. But it’s these days that we get to the heart of it: after the Hero Dolomites of the 18th June, Met Val di Fassa Enduro World Series arrives, on the 25th and 26th of June, and it brings the international spotlights on Canazei and Campitello. «Our aim is to make sure that the event Enduro World Series in Val di Fassa remains one of the most beloved by riders and, at the same time, more and more followed by the public», says William Basilico, head of the organising committee.

Val di Fassa and the village of Canazei are ready to welcome not only the teams and the exhibitors but also, at last, the spectators who during the weekend can enjoy the competitions’ show and the Event Village, as well as taking part in several initiatives and sport proposals (and more) in the valley.

Getting to the competitions, EWS and EWS 100 riders must deal with, respectively, a 42 km and 2.800 m of elevation gap course for the pros and a 36 km and 2.600 m of elevation gap one for amateurs. The difference between the two courses lies in the additional special trial EWS athletes have to face: the Pro Stage 1 MET Ciasates on Saturday afternoon. The other special trials (PS) are the PS 2 MET Titans in the Ciampac area, the PS 3 Dainese Mescedoz and the PS 4 Northwave Gluhwein on Passo Pordoi’s side and the concluding PS 5 Queen Stage, the spectacular, long and technical Trentino Val di Fassa Tutti Frutti which, with over 6 km and almost 1.000 m of elevation gap, is one of the most challenging in the whole world network.

If the enduro festival focuses on the 25th and 26th of June, on the 3rd of July people are pedalling on road again with the exclusive (and thus famous) "Maratona dles Dolomites" which crosses Sella and Pordoi passes, too. During Fassa’s summer, it’s not all bout major events, two wheels are also one of the most loved activities by those who select a mountain holiday: road bikes, MTBs, city bikes, and bikes for the differently abled. Asphalt ribbons and hairpin turns of Dolomites’ passes are the luxury ground for road cyclists that follow in the feats of the Pink Race’s idols. The Cycling Route of Fiemme and Fassa’s Dolomites, 48 kilometres from Canazei to Molina di Fiemme, is ideal for families and for those who love to enjoy pedals and landscape, taking advantage for the return of the Bike Express Fiemme e Fassa, a bus with trailer: one pedals downhill and on sloping ground and returns comfortably with the shuttle.

There are several MTB trails, starting from Sellaronda (the tour one can undertake with skis in the winter), continuing with Val Duron and Val Contrin, just to name a few. The bike park, open from the 11th of June, shows some interesting news: revised signage, reshape of the DoubleU, a new black line at Col Rodella and the completion of the Rodeline. Val di Fassa also cares about the little ones, who this summer can have fun on the new pump track (circuit with climbs, slopes, and parabolic turns that allow to jump and perform stunts, but also experiment the thrill of acceleration) and at the skill park at Pra de Sort in Moena, as well as at the skill park in Soraga and, lastly, with the MTB test days every Monday in Moena (for Val di Fassa Guest Card holders).
