The festival dedicated to the local cheese aperitifs begins in the Ladin valley on January 25th, with the Marcialonga, and concludes on March 28th, by QC Terme Dolomiti

Fine food combined with the best ski: in Val di Fassa, from January 25th to March 28th, the refreshment is served by "HappyCheese" in several occasions. Even in winter 2020 comes back the festival - organized by the "Dolomites cheese route" in collaboration with Val di Fassa Tourism Board – which enhances the cheese products, real pride of the Ladin valley. We are talking about, first of all, the "Puzzone di Moena DPO", the appreciated cheese, pungent in its aroma, which seduces every palate, but also the "Cher de Fascia", which is also a washed rind (as it is Puzzone) cheese but in a more delicate version, and of many other more. These products, often served with excellent Trentino wines, can be tasted not only in the places where they are produced, but also on the ski slopes, in panoramic locations at high altitude, in the square of the villages and even in-between thermal pools.
The festival (that takes place even in Val di Fiemme and in San Martino di Castrozza) begins on January 25th, on the afternoon before Marcialonga (47th edition, on January 26th), with a toast in the square of Moena and the possibility to attend the cheese-making, while tasting a local cheese soup and a glass of Trentino wine. Exactly one month later, on February 26th, the Val di Fassa cheese factory opens its doors for a visit to its spaces, with even games for the children and – obviously – a fine tasting of all the products of the "Mèlga de Fascia" (this is the Ladin name of the cheese factory). On March 4th, we go up to the 2950 metres of Rifugio Maria on Sass Pordoi, for an exclusive aperitif: the best cheeses of the valley are served with Rotari Trentodoc in an exceptional panoramic location, privileged point to admire the “enrosadira” at sunset over the Dolomites.
Skiers, instead, can have a delicious break to the rhythm of music on March 21st by the refuge Baita Checco on Ciampedìe in Vigo with "Happy Cheese", also launching the music festival on the snow "Val di Fassa Panorama Music". The winning combination, music notes and cheeses, will be reproposed also on March 28th by the refuge Baita Paradiso in the ski area San Pellegrino. In the evening of March 28th the festival ends in the scenographic context of QC Terme Dolomiti, where the classic "Aperiterme" becomes even more appetizing, with a wide choice of local cheeses. Last but not least, from March 21st to March 28th, it is possible to taste the "HappyCheese" pizza with the Trentino craft beers by the restaurants "Le Giare" in Pozza and "La Grotta" in Vigo.
