Informality, independence and freedom from schedules without giving up comfort, is what guests who choose an apartment holiday are looking for. There are more than 1,300 alternatives to choose from, such as private apartments, estate agents and apartment houses.
Gentians blossom in the apartments of the Val di Fassa! Since 2009, gentian, one of the most beautiful mountain flowers, has been the symbol used to rate the apartments in Trentino. The project was strongly endorsed by Provincia Autonoma di Trento and by all of the Tourist Boards in Trentino. The ranking system guarantees transparency of information about the quality of each accommodation facility. The holiday apartments, whose owners are partners of the Val di Fassa Tourist Board, have been checked through by an inspector, who has personally examined each apartment and its contents. Comfort is rated by gentians from one to four, according to the quality and the number of services offered in each apartment.

Preliminary remarks on the terms and conditions of agreement
To verify the rental conditions and the terms of payment, the guest has to contact the apartment owner directly. Rental duration can be agreed with the owner. During the winter season changeover is on Saturday or Sunday, according to the conditions agreed with the apartment owner. Prices depend on resort, rating, season and duration of stay, accommodation size and services offered.
Booking. At the time of booking, asking for a written confirmation is strongly advisable as it will validate and proof your reservation. The owner has to specify the availability or non-availability of the accommodation requested by the guest, the exact number of people that are going to stay in the apartment (including children aged 0-12), the period requested by the guest (date of arrival and departure), the agreed price and if extra charges are included (water supply, electricity, heating, waste, final cleanings, household linen, etc.), the amount of the deposit. If the accommodation requested is not available, the owner can suggest another apartment and must provide all the above-mentioned information. Reservation of the accommodation is regarded as confirmed for the period requested once deposit is paid by the guest. Payment, usually 30% of the full amount, is to be paid within 7 days from the date of reservation and it can be withheld by the owner in case of cancellation of the reservation. Payment of the deposit is to be communicated to the apartment owner by sending a receipt (e.g. by fax, mail, etc.). At this point the apartment owner sends a confirmation of your reservation.
Cancellation. In case guests are forced to cancel their reservation, they must communicate it immediately before the beginning of their stay. The apartment owner is allowed to ask for a cancellation penalty, if this is expressly written in the booking confirmation. For example:
- cancellation within 30 days before date of arrival 25%
- cancellation between 29 and 4 days before date of arrival 50%
- cancellation within 3 days before date of arrival 75%
If guests must leave before the arranged date of departure, they have to pay the entire price of stay for the agreed period, except for different arrangements with the owner.
Check-in. At the check-in all guests, minors as well, have to prove their identity by showing an ID for registration.
Payment. The balance is to be paid at the time of check-in and key collection, except for different arrangements with the owner.
Discretionary rules of stay. The apartment is rented to the number of people stated in the booking confirmation. For any additional guest the owner has the right to charge an extra fee. Guests have to respect common sense rules of decency, cohabitation, public quiet and peaceful living.
Apartment facilities and equipment. All the apartments are in conditions of perfect hygiene and habitability. All the apartments rated by the Val di Fassa Tourist Board have been evaluated by an independent team of experts who checked facilities and equipment in each apartment. Guests are strongly recommended to check all the facilities and the equipment with the owner at their arrival. Any specifications must be clearly stated straightaway by the guest. Facilities and equipment generally vary according to the rating in gentians.
Deposit. The guest commits to take care of the apartment and its facilities, furniture and equipment. At the time of arrival, the guest has to pay a legal deposit of 100 Euros, except for different arrangements with the owner. The legal deposit will be given back to the guest at check-out time after inspection.
Extra charges. The apartment owner is to inform the guest of any applicable extra charges.
Check-out. The apartment is to be left in the same condition as found. If there are no complaints during the check-in, it will be taken for granted that the apartment is in perfect conditions. Check-out is by 9.00 a.m. on the arranged day, except for different arrangements with the owner. Check-out must be done on time to allow the inspection of the apartment. Late check-out can be charged with the payment of the legal deposit. The apartment must be left tidy, free of waste and with clean kitchen and tableware.
