Description: on the boarder between the Province of Trento and Belluno, San Pellegrino Pass is a place immersed in the green and surrounded by spectacular peaks, 11 km far from the village of Moena.
In summer one can discover the local fauna and history on the side of the Costabella, the Monzoni group, the Col Margherita and the Cima Bocche. The site is rich in rests of the First World War, with tunnels and trenches recently restored.
San Pellegrino Pass offers a wide range of hotels and modern lifts, besides a great variety of slopes for all level of difficulty, directly linked to Falcade through the Col Margherita, from where it is also possible to admire the Marmolada glacier.
Cross-country skiers can attend the Centro Fondo Alochet, belonging to the Nordic Super Skipass circuit, where one can enjoy the snow and the silence of the wood.
The lovely San Pellegrino Lake is also worthwhile a visit. On the pass there are also historical buildings such as an old pilgrim hospice, a point of reference for travellers in the past and a small church dedicated to St. Antonio from Padua and decorated inside with paintings by G.B. Chiocchetti, famous artist from Moena.
