The Sella group is one of the main symbols of the Dolomites and of the four Ladin valleys. If in winter one skis around it, in summer it can be reached on foot or by mountain bike. Doing the famous winter ski tour (The four Dolomite passes) by bike is a "must" for mountain bikers. Come and see yourself.
You’ll need a mountain bike, average fitness and great determination: these are three fundamental conditions to take part in the Sellaronda Mountainbike, the best "off-road" tour of the Dolomites. Bikes can be carried on the lifts (cable cars, gondolas and chair lifts), so reaching the four passes - Gardena, Campolongo, Pordoi and Sella - is easy. As in winter by skiing, the tour can be done in both directions, clockwise or counterclockwise. One can start from any of the villages around the Sella massive: Canazei, Campitello di Fassa, Selva Gardena, Corvara or Arabba. The slopes, which are rather difficult, are mostly single trails which occasionally join the main roads.
The Sellaronda Mountainbike is a full-day tour; it can be done also without an expert bike-guide and is accessible only to holders of pass (€ 46,00), a pass needed to use the lifts. In Val di Fassa, Sellaronda Mountainbike guided tours are organized on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 17th June to 23th September 2018. The price is € 86,00 per person and includes a daily ticket for the lifts. Number of participants: min. 4 - max. 8 people. On domand every day.
The passes Dolomiti SuperSummer - Multi-day offer bikers the possibility of using the lifts: 1 day € 46,00; 3 on 4 days at choise € 107,00; 5 on 7 days at choise € 143,00. The transportation of the bikes is included.
