The girls of the National Ski team, from January 3 to 6, prepare for the World Cup competitions in the Ladin valley
Federica Brignone, Marta Bassino, Elena Curtoni, Nadia Fanchini, Nicol Delago, Francesca Marsaglia, Laura Pirovano, Roberta Midali and Karoline Pichler. These are the Italian giant slalom and downhill skiers training in Val di Fassa – that has been FISI training centre of the preparation of the National Alpine Ski Team for years - from January 3 to 6. With the approaching of the next World Cup competitions, the athletes are working on the fast tracks "La Volata" and "Cima Uomo" on San Pellegrino pass. With them, also the colleagues of the French National team and the Slovenian Ilka Stuhec, winner of the two recent competitions in Val Gardena. On January 5 Brignone, Bassino, Pirovano and Pichler move then to the slope Aloch in Pozza that has recently been subject to maintainance and expansion works for the Junior World Ski Championships that take place in Val di Fassa from February 18 to 27. Even the slope "La Volata" will be involved in this competition for under 20, as well as the villages of Canazei for the Opening Ceremony and Moena for the awardings of the 33 medals at stake.
