From the 10th to the 23th of July, Val di Fassa hosts Genoa's pre-season camp retreat
Italy's oldest football club and Val di Fassa Tourist Board have signed a partnership for the next three sports seasons. Players, coaches, staff, managers and journalists will be guests of the valley for a fortnight and will be able to count on the warm Ladin welcome, top-class services and sports facilities. It's a return to the past. The location of the summer retreat represents a novelty for Genoa compared to recent years, but Val di Fassa already knows the team. In fact, it was attended by Grifone in the 1990s.
The Ligurian team, led by coach Alberto Gilardino, will stay at the Wellness Hotel Dolomia in Soraga from July 10th to 23rd, while the headquarters of the pre-championship preparation will be Carlo Benatti sports centre, at the entrance of Moena, where in addition to daily training sessions Genoa will play three friendly matches. Space, then, to side events. Fans who want to follow their favourites, but also the inhabitants of the valley, will be able to participate in many leisure and entertainment initiatives, not necessarily related to football.
The contribution of the local club 'Monti Pallidi', which will logistically support the club during the fourteen-day stay, is essential.
During the pre-season in the mountains, Genoa Camps will also take place, football courses for children and youngsters, run by coaches and instructors from the youth sector and football school.
