Ciampedie estate

Geology, legends and history

Easy walk from Ciampedie to Gardeccia following the ancient footsteps of the "Vivane", the nymphs that inhabit the Rosengarten forest

From Ciampedie to the viewpoint of Pra Martin or, alternatively, through the "Forest Path", we'll head towards Gardeccia, diving into the legends that have shaped these mountains through the centuries. In fact, since ancient times, these woods have been inhabited by characters that are protagonists of many stories. "Bregostènes" (ugly and spiteeful female beings), "Salvans" 8two-faced wild men), "Vivenes" (beautiful and kind female creatures), dwarves, witches and elves are going to be introduced to us by our guide, while walking along the magic path of King Laurin, where at dawn and dusk you can witness the "Enrosadira".

Easy walk for families of about 2 hours. Meeting point at 10 a.m. by the top station of the cable car. Arrival at 12 p.m. at Gardeccia and lunch break (optional, packed lunch or by the refuges). Adequate clothes and shoes are required. In case of bad weather, the activity will be cancelled.

Take part in the contest "Paint your chair". Draw what you most liked during the excursion and hand in your work to the guide or at the cashier's desks of the lifts. The three most representative drawings will be selected to adorn 3 chairs of the chairlift "Vajolet 1".

Registration: not required. Activity organized by Catinaccio lift company, included in the Panorama Pass or in the lift ticket.

Event location: Ciampedie (1998 m), Vigo di Fassa (San Giovanni di Fassa)
