Laghi Di Lusia Parco Naturale Paneveggio Pale Di San Martino

Laghi di Lusia - Parco Naturale Paneveggio Pale di San Martino

A trio of ponds set in the scenery of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park.
These picturesque alpine biotopes, at an altitude of 2,400 metres, are set in the wild nature of the Alpe Lusia and surrounded by the many magnificent views of the Bocche mountain ranges, the Catinaccio, Monzoni and Lagorai groups. Ideal places for medium difficulty excursions, you can reach them from Passo Lusia (2,056 metres), from Bellamonte-Castelir by taking the cable car that leads to La Morea (1,970 metres), from Moena by climbing the cable car from Ronchi to Le Cune (2,200 metres). The area surrounding the Lusia Lakes is strewn with signs of the fighting of the Great War, ruins of shacks, caves and underground shelters. The trails run along trenches, between dry stone walls and the remains of the fortifications of the Austrian defence line.
