From November 30th, it’s time to get back on the slopes for a 2019-2020 season marked by the excellent ski conditions of the ski areas and by the appointments with the fun branded RDS and the festivals on the snow

The "Val di Fassa Winter Style" shows off its superb form and lays down the playlist for winter 2019-2020: in the dolomitic valley, where the condition of the tracks is always on top, from November 30th – opening date of part of the ski resorts in view of December 5th, when all the ski area will be open – until the end of the season, it is all a matter of music for the aficionados (and not just for them).
In December, during three consecutive week-ends, the soundtrack of the first slalom descents is RDS branded: on December 7th and 8th in the Ciampac ski area in Alba di Canazei, on December 14th and 15thin the Catinaccio ski area in Vigo and on December 21st and 22nd in the San Pellegrino ski area in Moena the skiers are the protagonists of "RDS – Play the Winter – Val di Fassa", with DJ sets, games, prizes, with the entertainment by the most famous conductors of the national radio channel and with much music "on air" on the slopes. The entertainment goes straight at altitude – together with several famous characters of the showbiz who love the "Val di Fassa Winter Style" and never miss the inauguration of a new winter season –  and stays "on top" till the end of the season when, from March 21st to April 11th, the rhythm of "Val di Fassa Panorama Music". The tried and tested formula of the festival proposes ten concerts (concentrated in the week-ends) in ten refuges that make the echo of the country music, common feature of this fifth edition, bounce throughout the ski areas. These are just the beginning and the end... but much more will happen throughout the winter season!

The slopes of your wishes
In front of the dolomitic groups of MarmoladaSella and Sassolungo, cuddled by a hospitality renowned for its high quality, but most of all thanks to ski districts like Val di Fassa - Carezza and Alpe Lusia - San Pellegrino equipped with a snowmaking system – furtherly improved in sight of the upcoming season – that guarantees a coverage of 95% of the tracks, Val di Fassa offer a spectacular winter from December 2019 to April 2020. The skiers can count on 7 ski areas, mostly linked "skis on" – and a brilliant ski bus service that this winter is even improved, with dedicated runs between Vigo and the Karerpass – served by 86 mountain lifts – with the cabin lift to Ciampac and the Funifor "Alba col dei Rossi" as latest flagships – 4 ski tours among which the famous Sellaronda and the appreciated Skitour Panorama6 snowparks, for a total of 210 km and 152 slopes throughout the valley. Not only top slopes, but also a peculiar hospitality in the refuges, which stands out this year with the opening of the newest "In Alto" in December 2019: at the 2514 metres of the Col Margherita on San Pellegrino, the refuge imposes itself in the scene of the alpine refuges in Val di Fassa as the highest and most panoramic facility on slope.
The valley has an extraordinary offer for expert skiers, thanks to rewarding black slopes, but it is also the ideal ski resort for families and children: tracks for beginners, fun slopes to learn to "slide" with a smile, baby parks and kindergartens on the snow guarantee amusing experiences. The children, then, are the privileged addressees of the rich variety of ski courses proposed by the five ski schools of the valley, namely Canazei, Campitello, Pozza, Vigo and Moena – all boasting the "golden seal", which certifies the quality of their teaching level, especially to kids.

"Ski racing": an innate passion
The Ladin valley doesn’t forget its sportive vocation. For several years, it has been the official training centre of the Alpine skiing national team (both for men and for women) with the "Piste Azzurre" project, supported by FISI, by the local mountain lift companies, by Dolomiti Superski and by the Tourist Board Val di Fassa, and it is also an appreciated location for international competitions. Already scheduled: on December 16th on the Aloch, in the town centre of Pozza, takes place the European Cup men’s night slalom, while on December 19th and 20th the slope "La Volata" on San Pellegrino Pass hosts the women downhill and, also on December 19th, the "Pra di Tori" on Carezza at few kilometres from Vigo is the stage of a snowboard World Cup appointment.
The aficionados of cross-country skiing should take note of the "Marcialonga di Fiemme e Fassa" on January 26th, 2020, while the ski-mountaineering addicted can’t miss the "Sellaronda Ski Marathon" on March 27th.

Snow and relaxation: a matter of style
"Val di Fassa Winter Style" is also a synonym of slow skiing and "good life": from the appointments with the ski at dawn and with the rich breakfasts in the refuges branded #trentinoskisunrise (this year at its sixth edition), to the thrilling aperitifs on the snow in panoramic locations such as the "Happy Cheese" appointments, both on the slopes and in cosy locations down in the valley. These experiences multiply with the slow skiing and with pleasant excursions on foot and with the snowshoessleigh rides, walks through picturesque hamlets at the discovery of the features of the Ladin culture, of the typical products to bring home and of the charm of the local cuisine, which really makes it to the top of the quality.
And again in regards of cuddles, the intense days in the open air perfectly fit with the ensuing thermal breaks that have become a "must" in the valley: beside the Terme Dolomia, known for their cures and treatments (in agreement with the National Health Care System), since 2016 there is also the new SPA centre QC Terme Dolomiti, with more than 4000 square metres of well-being and relaxation in the waters of the Aloch source, with a view on the Catinaccio.
