Val di Fassa has decided: the journey towards greater responsibility has begun, relying on the international standards of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council for destinations. This is valuable work to increase the value of our hospitality, improve the lives of those who live in the valley and protect these unique places.
The Val di Fassa we would like to see
is born of more responsible actions
Val di Fassa is not just a travel destination:
it is a living community, a fragile and precious landscape, a heritage that we have a duty to protect. This is why we have chosen to embark on the path towards GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) certification, the international standard that guides tourist destinations in making their offerings more responsible, authentic and sustainable.
What does this really mean?
It means preserving and nurturing what makes Val di Fassa unique. Taking care of the trails with the "Sa Mont" project, so that every step is respectful and more conscious, and with the Val di Fassa CleanUP Days, days of awareness and collective action that involve residents and guests in cleaning the trails and natural spaces. This is concrete, shared work that stems from the desire to protect what we love and preserve the authenticity of the valley.
It means giving voice to Ladin culture, not only with festivals and events in our museums, but by creating experiences in which adults and children can experience stories, traditions and customs that speak of the mountains with curious eyes.
It means accompanying to discover how to move independently, with respect and awareness, recognising the risks and wonders that nature offers you. And again, choosing together more respectful routes, promoting alternative destinations that surprise you and allow you to truly breathe in the soul of the valley.
The Val di Fassa Tourist Board has chosen to collaborate with local organisations, associations and professionals to build a shared future together, in which those who live in and visit the valley feel part of the same journey. Because here, you are not just a spectator, but a protagonist of a more attentive, curious and respectful form of tourism.
Val di Fassa is our home: we want to live it, share it and protect it with respect, care and wonder.
