A special evening will close the Val di Fassa Running week: in the square, there will be an awards ceremony for the athletes and a performance by the Canazei Folk Group, for a finale that combines sport, emotion and Ladin identity
After five days of running along scenic trails, challenging climbs and spectacular views, Val di Fassa Running 2025 is getting ready for its grand finale. On Friday 27 June, at the end of the famous Dolomite stage with its high-altitude finish at Buffaure, the square will host a double event open to the public, celebrating hard work and enchanting tradition. In the evening, the official awards ceremony for the stage race will take place, one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the entire week. The athletes who competed in the five stages - including the queen of the stages, 7.1 km and 736 metres of elevation gain - will be celebrated and individual and team awards will be presented. It will be an opportunity to applaud those who have tackled over 55 km of challenges with determination and passion through the most evocative locations in the Val di Fassa.
Afterwards, the spotlight will turn to Ladin culture with a performance by the Canazei Folk Group, guardians of a living and authentic tradition. Through traditional choreography and accordion music, the group will recount the deepest soul of the valley with dances and historical costumes. The show will open with the seven-coloured Ladin flag, symbol of the region's identity, and will continue with group and couple dances handed down through generations. Founded in 1974, the group is one of the beating hearts of Fassa culture: a bridge between past and present, between rural memory and new generations.
At 9 p.m. in the main square. In case of bad weather, the awards ceremony will take place at the "Marmolada" cinema theatre.
