TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED
Within the scope of the processing purposes outlined in the following paragraph, only the following personal data will be processed: first and last name, email address, and—where communication tracking is enabled—information regarding interaction with the newsletter, such as whether the email was opened and the use of links contained within it.
PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING AND LEGAL BASIS
The processing of personal data is intended to send our newsletter regarding, for example, events, promotional initiatives, and, in general, the promotion of tourism in the Val di Fassa region, as well as to send the best vacation offers.
Tracking technologies, such as tracking pixels or equivalent tools, may be used in the newsletters to detect whether emails have been opened and, where applicable, whether the links in the messages have been clicked. This information is used to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and to improve the content, format, and frequency of the communications sent.
The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(a) of EU Regulation 2016/679: the data subject has given consent to the processing of their data for one or more specific purposes. Providing data is not mandatory but is a necessary requirement to access the newsletter service. Failure to provide data will result solely in the inability to receive the newsletter. Consent may be revoked at any time. In particular, the data subject may choose to no longer receive communications or to continue receiving them while disabling tracking only by clicking the “Manage Preferences” link included in the newsletters.
METHOD OF PROCESSING AND AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING AND PROFILING
The data is processed in paper and electronic form and protected by technical and organisational measures to ensure appropriate levels of security in accordance with Articles 25 and 32 of EU REG. 2016/679.
Specifically, the distribution of newsletters will be managed through the Magnews platform. Following your consent to receive communications, your identifying data and — where tracking is enabled — information regarding your interactions with the newsletters will be processed via this platform and stored on its servers. For further information, please consult the privacy policy of Magnews - Diennea S.r.l.
There are no automated decision-making processes that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect the data subject. Information regarding interactions with the newsletters is not combined with other information to create individual profiles and is used exclusively to measure the effectiveness of the communications and to improve their content, format, and frequency.
UNSUBSCRIBING AND MANAGING PREFERENCES
Please note that you may stop receiving newsletters at any time by selecting the “unsubscribe” option at the bottom of each newsletter you receive. From that point on, you will no longer receive newsletters from APT Val di Fassa.
If you wish to continue receiving newsletters without the use of tracking technologies, you may change your preference at any time by clicking the “Manage Preferences” link at the bottom of each communication.
The Magnews platform may, however, retain a list of unsubscribed users to prevent them from being automatically re-enrolled in the newsletter service; if you wish to be permanently removed from this list as well, please contact the Val di Fassa Tourism Board (Società Cooperativa), which will manually delete your information.
CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA
For the purposes referred to in the previous paragraph, the personal data provided will be accessible to internal collaborators authorised to process such data as part of their duties, to external suppliers duly appointed as data processors who provide services for the management of the information system and telecommunications networks, including e-mail, newsletters and website management, and to all subjects for whom there is a legal obligation to communicate or other subjects for whom specific authorisations are acquired in case of request.
COMMUNICATION
Personal data may be communicated to persons authorised to process it, who may access personal data for the purposes of performing their duties, as well as to external data processors appointed by the Data Controller (the complete list of external data processors is available from the Data Controller), who are responsible for managing the purposes set out above.
In pursuit of the above purposes, the data may be communicated to other subjects acting as independent data controllers.
RETENTION PERIOD FOR PERSONAL DATA
Personal data collected for the purposes indicated in the preceding paragraph will be processed and retained for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes and, in any case, until the user effectively unsubscribes, except to the extent necessary to document the choices made by the data subject and to comply with legal obligations. Data relating to interactions with newsletters will be retained for a period proportionate to the purposes of analyzing and improving campaigns and subsequently deleted or aggregated in anonymous form, in accordance with the settings and retention periods applied to the platform used.
RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT WITH REGARD TO DATA PROCESSING
Pursuant to Articles 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 77 of the EU Regulation, the data subject is informed that:
- has the right to request access to personal data, the rectification, erasure or restriction of processing concerning him or her, or to object to its processing, and the transfer of his or her data to another controller in the cases provided for;
- any rectifications, erasures or restrictions of processing carried out at the request of the data subject - unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort - will be communicated by the writer to each of the data processors to whom the personal data have been transmitted;
- has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, following the procedures and instructions published on the Authority's official website att www.garanteprivacy.it

With regard to newsletters, the data subject may also withdraw consent at any time, request to no longer receive communications, or continue to receive them by disabling only the tracking technologies via the “Manage Preferences” link included in the emails.
