The Women's World Cup returns to La VolatA in the San Pellegrino Ski Area: two days of racing on one of the most technical courses on the circuit, where the world's best speed specialists are set to battle it out
Val di Fassa kicks off the new year with one of the most eagerly awaited events of the season. On Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January 2027, La VolatA at Col Margherita hosts the first Italian stop of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, featuring a downhill and a super-G with valuable points up for grabs in the individual discipline standings.
Opened in 2017, the course quickly established itself on the international alpine skiing scene, hosting the Junior World Championships, European Cup races and the Women's World Cup. Over its 2,500 metres, La VolatA combines steep pitches, gliding sections, jumps, changes in gradient and technical terrain, with gradients of up to 47%: a true test for the world's best speed skiers.
Away from the racing, the weekend features the Village with live music, entertainment and food and drink stands, while the grandstand and finish area offer spectators a close-up view of the action.
