A "Free Folk Jazz" concert by the band from Belluno will warm up Vigo, decked out in festive decorations
Ettore Masin (baritone flugelhorn, saxophone, bagpipes, alpenhorn), Mario Cavacece (trumpet, shawm), Claudio Dalla Riva (accordion, vocals), Alessandro Zaniolo (percussion, drums), Sandro Cioffi (trumpet, baritone horn), Nello Dal Pont (drums and percussion), Paolo Casagrande (violin, guitar and...): these are the musicians of the Gnuco Alpen Sgnapa Band. A beloved and well-known group in the valleys of Veneto and Trentino, where for years they have brought energy and irony to village festivals and street parties, appearing each time in a different costume, tailor-made for the occasion.
Their repertoire is an unpredictable journey into "Free Folk Jazz", a term coined by the band to describe their style: a free and infectious mix of genres and sounds. During their concerts, they move naturally from Tyrolean and medieval sonatas to rousing folk songs, from traditional Christmas melodies to Italian pop music.
At 5 p.m. by the square in front of the tourist office in Vigo. Free entry.
