The music of early tango meets Friulian tradition from a contemporary female perspective
Cûr di Veri is one of the most innovative projects to emerge from the Friulian music scene in recent years. Inspired by the oldest and rawest form of tango - the kind that was expressed in the taverns and brothels of Buenos Aires with voice and guitar - the group evokes the original soul of the "tangueros", true storytellers of tormented love, revenge and nostalgia. The group, composed of Nicole Coceancig (vocals), Davide Raciti (violin), Leo Virgili (guitar) and Valeria Liva (double bass), transports this imagery to Friuli, mixing popular music with the local language and filtering it through a female and feminist perspective. The result is a powerful and authentic sound story, in which tradition is renewed through visceral emotions and a voice - that of Nicole Coceancig - among the most vibrant and passionate on the regional scene.
The culture and music association "La Grenz", a long-standing partner of the Dolomiti Ski Jazz and Val di Fassa Panorama Music festivals, opens the doors of its club for a series of unmissable concerts. In the informal and friendly atmosphere that has always characterised this iconic venue in Moena, musicians and audiences will come together to enjoy evenings of good music, immersed in the tradition that has seen some of the greatest artists on the international jazz scene perform on stage.
Free admission with Arci membership card (15 € - available on site). The venue is accessible by car.
