When darkness falls, fire becomes art. The Opera Fiammae company transforms Canazei's square into an open-air theatre, where flames dance, tell stories and enchant
For the first time in Canazei, the Opera Fiammae company stages a show that is ritual, dream and transformation. Founded in 2020 by Anton Lumi, an artist with over twenty years of experience, it has enchanted audiences at the Venice Carnival with light and flame installations of extraordinary visual power. Now it arrives in the Dolomites with an intense and visionary creation. Two fantastical characters, suspended between reality and imagination, guide the audience on a mystical journey in which dance, theatre, juggling, circus arts, magic and special effects blend into a single fluid and hypnotic vision. In a crescendo of amazement, the flames become extensions of the body, waves of light that respond to gestures, sounds and silences. A choreography that caresses the soul, in an unreal setting where light and shadow chase each other, and every spark tells a story. The intimate and complicit movements transform the square into a suspended dimension, free from fear and filled with wonder.
At 9.30 p.m. in the town's main square. The show is free of charge. In case of bad weather, it will be postponed to the following day.
