The legend of the Beatles comes to life in Gianmarco Tognazzi's show with the Trio Mercadante, combining theatre, myth and immortal harmonies
The Beatles are not just the most famous band in the world: they are a generational myth. An eternal symbol that has forever transformed music, culture and the collective imagination. Rolling Stone magazine named them the most influential band of the 20th century. According to the Guinness Book of Records, they are the best-selling band of all time, with over a billion records sold. At the heart of this legend beats the melodic genius of Paul McCartney: a refined songwriter, the voice of Yesterday, the soul of Let It Be and composer of some of the most beloved songs in pop history. But in 1969, something shattered the perfect harmony. A voice on the radio, a suspicion, a code name: Paul is dead. According to the theory, McCartney died in a car accident in 1966 and was replaced by an identical lookalike. A secret kept between the lines of lyrics, on album covers, in unexplained gestures.

This is the starting point for an evocative and original show, in which Gianmarco Tognazzi gives voice to an imaginary and profound Paul, restoring his humanity and mystery. Accompanying him, the refined trio Saverio Mercadante - clarinet, guitar and piano - reinterprets the Beatles' masterpieces in intimate and intense arrangements, capable of evoking emotions that are both new and old. Music and words intertwine in an engaging theatrical experience that brings the epic story of the Fab Four back to the stage.
