Monti Pallidi

The Rifugio Monti Pallidi was built before construction of the great Dolomites road, at the foot of Piz Ciavazes and Sass Pordoi at Pian Schiavaneis (between Passo Sella and Passo Pordoi). If, instead, you walk up the Val Lasties you’ll get to the rocky plateau of the Sella Group and the Rifugio Boe in 3 hours 40 minutes (difficulty E). In the opposite direction, towards Passo Sella, it takes less than an hour to walk to the Col Rodella basin, at the foot of Sassolungo (difficulty E).
