Trekking Sounds of the Dolomites

Expired event!

3 days of high mountain hiking, music and words, along the paths of the Val di Fassa with Paolo Fresu, Daniele Di Bonaventura and Pierpaolo Vacca

The trekking experience at I Suoni delle Dolomiti (Sounds of the Dolomites) is one of the most immersive and intimate of the entire festival, with its ability to encapsulate the elements at the core of the fête’s philosophy: music and mountains. Three days of walking amid the Fassa Dolomites, from 22 to 24 of September, led by dedicated mountain guides and sharing the journey with passionate musicians. The project takes the form of a dialogue in music, featuring aerophone instruments and lyricism that bears hints of the Mediterranean. A theatrical adventure, "Tango Macondo" is the fruit of a collaboration between Fresu (trumpet and flugelhorn) and Di Bonaventura (bandonean), further perfected by the contribution of Pierpaolo Vacca (accordion). Under the guidance of this trio of great artists, two young musicians - Giulio Ferraro (trumpet) and Giosué Mazzei (guitar) - from the conservatorium "F.A. Bonporti di Trento e Riva del Garda" will take part in this truly special dialogue, which aims to deepen the relationship between music and nature.
