An afternoon among flowers, beehives and wonder: discover the world of bees... at over 2,000 metres above sea level!
Small, tireless, precious: bees harbour a surprising world of order, cooperation and wonder. At the Tobià del Giagher mountain refuge, in the stunning Ciampac basin, you can get up close to life in the hive and discover just how vital these insects are to nature and to our daily lives. During the session, we'll discuss the life cycle of bees, the organisation of the hive and the beekeeper's work, with fun facts, stories and observations designed to engage the whole family. At the end of the activity, you'll have the chance to buy honey produced by the Daniel Zen apiary: a sweet memento of this little but wonderful high-altitude experience.
Meeting point: every Thursday at 2 pm near the Tobià del Giagher mountain hut. The hut is easily reached on foot from the top station of the Ciampac gondola in Alba di Canazei. Duration: approx. 1 hour. Easy difficulty, pushchairs welcome. Children aged 4 and over. This activity is held in Italian only.
Price: free activity organised by Ciampac e Contrin lift company, included in the Panorama Pass, the Dolomiti Supersummer pass or with a valid lift ticket. No booking required. The activity is cancelled in the event of bad weather.
