An afternoon among flowers, beehives and wonder: discover the world of bees... at over 2,000 metres above sea level!
What a magical world bees live in! Did you know that a single bee can visit up to 2,000 flowers in a single day? Or that each beehive functions like a small town full of life and organisation? Every Thursday afternoon, at the Tobià del Giagher Rifugio at Ciampac, young and old alike can take part in an intriguing and entertaining event to discover all the secrets of these extraordinary insects: their life cycle, the order of the hive and the valuable work of the beekeeper. This is an opportunity to observe the world of bees up close, listen to fascinating stories and discover how essential they are to nature... and to our daily lives! Afterwards, you can even purchase some delicious honey produced by "Daniel Zen" beekeeping business.
Activity for families with children aged 4 and over.
Schedule and meeting point: every Thursday at 2 p.m. near , near the Tobià del Giagher Rifugio. It is easily accessible on foot (even with pushchairs) from the mountain station of Ciampac gondola in Alba di Canazei. Duration: about 1 hour.
Price: free activity organised by "Ciampac e Contrin" lift company, included in the Panorama Pass, the Dolomiti Supersummer pass or with a valid lift ticket. No registration required. Lift ticket borns by the participants. Activity cancelled in case of bad weather.
