From alpine herbs to mountain butter: a hands-on experience at a high-altitude farm
Are you familiar with mountain herbs? Accompanied by Mrs Lucia, we will go and look for them in the meadows around Malga Jumela. We will discover their scents, properties and traditional uses, and choose the most suitable ones to flavour the butter we will prepare together, using simple, authentic methods. An experience in close contact with nature, combining ancient knowledge and authentic flavours.
Schedule and meeting point: every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at the Malga Jumela. The facility can be reached by an easy walk downhill from "Buffaure" in about 40 minutes (reachable by gondola; return uphill). Activity suitable for children of at least 3 years of age. Difficulty level: medium; no trekking strollers. Comfortable clothing and sports shoes are recommended.
Price: 5 € per person, payable directly on site. Booking required by calling +39 348 9301215 after 4 p.m. Ticket for the lifts and any packed lunch or lunch at the mountain hut to be paid for by participants. Panorama Pass and Dolomiti Supersummer are valid for the gondola. Activity cancelled in case of bad weather.
