The Countess of Dolèda and other legends of the Dolomites, told by the storyteller Martina Pisciali at Col dei Rossi
It was a time of legends, of change, of magic. And today, just as then, a woman gazed down from above upon the Val di Fassa stretching out at her feet, carved by the Avisio stream. Listen to some of the most beautiful legends of the Dolomites, narrated by the storyteller Martina Pisciali, in the splendid setting of Col dei Rossi, at 2,342 metres. An opportunity to discover the hidden stories, etched into the memory of the Dolomite rocks: traces and tales that have reached us from the woods, the small lakes and the soaring peaks of Fassa. We say "a long, long time ago", but in the face of the beauty and enchantment of the mountains, time stands still and the stories chase one another like clouds in the sky.
The Countess of Dolèda is a striking metal sculpture, designed by the Fassa-based artist Andrea Dorigatti and installed at Col dei Rossi in the summer of 2022: standing 3.6 metres tall, it is so light that it sways in the wind and glitters in the sun.
