Two women. An encounter. Who are they? Who is standing before them? A rival, a friend, a sister? A reflection of themselves? Curiosity, fear, uncertainty, surprise. They begin to observe one another, to discover one another; their bodies and their stories slowly intertwine like climbing plants, in a movement that, rising from the earth, spirals upwards. They learn to get to know one another and to recognise themselves through their encounter with the other: a mirror of who we are, who we have been and who we will be.
At 2.00 pm in the immediate vicinity of the Malga and the Contrin Refuge at an altitude of 2,016 m. The location can be reached on foot from Alba di Canazei (approximately a 2-hour walk). A shuttle service is available – subject to a fee and booking by the previous day – from Alba to the Baita Locia Contrin, from where the walk continues for about 1 hour. The event will resume at 5.00 pm on the same day at the Cinema Teatro Marmolada in Canazei.
"Rampicantae" is one of the shows of the Circen Dolomites Festival. For a whole week, from 25 to 31 July, the Val di Fassa hosts established street artists and talented international jugglers. Squares, museums and even high-altitude locations are transformed into exceptional stages for amazing performances of skill and inventiveness. The festival is organised by the Fassa juggling group "Circensema", founded in 2017 in collaboration with the local association "Inout", which has been practising circus arts for several years and also trains teenagers, together with professionals, who perform in shows throughout the year, combining juggling with theatre.
