Starting from the rehearsal room in "Strada Cerilo Dellantonio Bora", the municipal band of Moena parades through the streets of the town centre and performs a pleasant and cheerful repertoire in the neighborhood of "Ciajeole"
The municipal band of Moena has accompanied village life since the mid-19th century, becoming an essential part of every festival, religious celebration and civil holiday. A symbolic moment in its history came in 1858, when Archduke Charles Louis of Austria visited Cavalese and the band was asked to perform officially. It was there that the idea of performing in uniform was born, marking the beginning of a visual identity that continues to this day. After some inevitable interruptions during the First and Second World Wars, the band returned to play louder than ever, thanks in part to the guidance of Maestro Luigi Canori, a well-known composer from Moena. It was he who wrote the piece "Forti e baldi" (Strong and Bold), which still opens summer concerts today with its proud and rousing spirit. Today, the municipal band of Moena, recognisable in its red, white and blue uniform, is conducted by Maestro Roberto Silvagni (since 2020) and continues to carry on a long tradition that combines passion and community.
In collaboration with the music school "Il Pentagramma", it promotes training courses for children and adults, with the aim of passing on a love of music and introducing new generations to band music. It is precisely this ability to bring together different ages, experiences and personal stories that makes the band one of the most authentic expressions of Moena's identity: a lively, dynamic reality, always ready to open up to new horizons and musical inspirations.
We recommend you reach the location on foot, following the easy loop walk that starts at the square "Piaz de Ramon". The concert is free and in case of rain will be held at the "Navalge" theatre.
