The brass band from the upper Val di Fassa parades down the village street and performs outdoors in the small square in Mazzin
The Mùsega Auta Fascia band was founded to bring music to the peaks of the upper Val di Fassa, bringing musical study and passion closer to the inhabitants of Mazzin, Campitello and Canazei, without forcing them to travel long distances. Founded in 2006, it started with a double boost: around thirty young people led by Maestro Stefano Lazzer and an ensemble of 25 adults conducted by Maestro Paolo Rasom. The debut came on 22 November 2008, the feast day of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of musicians. Since 2010, the notes have been accompanied by the smiles of the "Marchetènderes", women in traditional costume who bring colour and cheer to the parades. Since then, the "Mùsega Auta Fascia" has performed in unique locations: on the summit of the Marmolada for the 150th anniversary of the conquest of Punta Penia, in Munich for Oktoberfest 2017, and at Sass Pordoi in 2020 to celebrate the post-Covid restart.
Today, under the direction of bandmaster Fabio Riz, the band continues to thrill audiences with its spring and Christmas concerts: eagerly awaited events that bring the community together and make the mountains dance to the sound of music.
In case of bad weather, the concert will be cancelled.
