The brass band from the upper Val di Fassa, accompanied by the Folk Group of Soraga, parades down the village street and performs in front of the tourist office
The "Mùsega Auta Fascia" is a musical group founded relatively recently with the aim of bringing music to the inhabitants of the Upper Val di Fassa, particularly in the municipalities of Mazzin, Campitello and Canazei, saving them long journeys to pursue their passion. The group was founded in 2006 with an initial project divided into two parts: on the one hand, around thirty young and very young people led by Maestro Stefano Lazzer, and on the other, an ensemble of 25 adults under the guidance of Maestro Paolo Rasom. The official debut came on 22 November 2008, on the feast day of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of musicians and singers. Two years later, in 2010, the "Marchetènderes", the sutlers who accompany the band's parades in their colourful traditional costumes, joined the band. Since that first concert, the "Mùsega Auta Fascia" has continued to enjoy success and memorable performances, including: the performance on the summit of Marmolada, for the 150th anniversary of the conquest of Punta Penia the parade in Munich during Oktoberfest 2017 the concert at Sass Pordoi, in June 2020, to celebrate the post-Covid restart. In addition to these, there are the now unmissable annual events, such as the spring and Christmas concerts, which are always eagerly awaited and appreciated by the public. Today, "Mùsega Auta Fascia" is conducted by Maestro Fabio Riz, who continues with enthusiasm and dedication the journey begun almost twenty years ago.
In case of bad weather, the parade is cancelled and only the concert will be held in the multi-purpose hall of the "La Gran Ciasa" community building in Soraga (tourist office). Free admission.
