The big celebration of the Italian trail running season begins with the DoloMyths Run 12K Junior, an epic "only up" challenge over 12 km of spectacular Dolomite walls, from Canazei to the Fedaia Pass!
On 11 and 12 July, Canazei will become the capital of trail running with the DoloMyths Run! Now in its 28th edition, this legendary race is a milestone in the Golden Trail National Series (GTNS) powered by Salomon, the most prestigious off-road running circuit in Italy. Over 1,300 athletes from around the world will take on the challenge across three distances, all starting from Canazei. Kicking off the weekend at 7 a.m., the DoloMyths Run 12K Junior - the shorter version of the DoloMyths Run 42K Fassa Trail - features 12 km, 800 m of elevation gain, and a 3-hour time limit to reach the finish line.
After the start, runners will set off along a spectacular route: from Canazei to Alba, Penìa and "Pian Trevisan", up to the Austro-Hungarian military mule track, carved into the rock by Russian prisoners during the First World War. Then, passing through "Col de Baranchie", they will tackle the imposing slopes of Marmolada. The grand finale? The finish line on the shores of Lake Fedaia! In 2025, the winners were Isacco Costa (57:02) of Team Salomon Italia and Martina Falchetti (1:09:43) of Team Sportclub Merano. Who will add their name to the roll of honour this year?
